Whiskey Smash

Serves 1 

3 lemon wedges 

2 ounces whisky or bourbon 

¾ ounce simple syrup 

4 mint leaves 

Mint sprig for garnish 

Muddle the lemon wedges in a shaker. Add whisky/bourbon, simple syrup, mint leaves and ice and shake until well-chilled. Strain into a cocktail glass over fresh ice. Garnish with the mint sprig and serve. Pro tip: firmly slap the mint spring on the back of your hand before garnishing. This releases the oils in the leaves and makes them more aromatic.
